Winner update ThinkSync Films 2006
Monday, October 15th, 2007A short update from the winners of ThinkSync Films 2006
David Procter & Peter King www.ontheagenda.co.uk won our first ever competition with their short film ‘72 Hours From Now’
“Since winning the first ever ThinkSync Films competition, ‘72 Hours From Now’ has gone on to screen in competition across nearly 30 countries worldwide. The film has screened in some of the biggest international festivals including Cork, Raindance, Mecal, Brest and Ankara. It has received numerous nominations including the prestigious Pathe Prix De Court European Film Award in Switzerland. The publicity influx after winning ThinkSync helped give the filmt he international push it needed. It also provided a strong foundation for Agenda Collective, the film being the company’s second production.
The competition helped us review the way that we think about music in our productions, raising its importance and moving us in the direction of less conventional independent artists. It also inspired us to make an ‘Eisenstein-esque’, music driven documentary, ‘Red Sands’ and developed the way that we think about music videos. In the past year the company has gone from strength to strength, with productions in Spain, Bulgaria, Pakistan and across the UK with an upcoming feature documentary in Israel.”
