‘ThinkSync’ is a competition and event that was originated by Cacophony Music in association with Raindance (responsible for the British Independent Film Awards) that puts film makers in touch with independent record labels and publishers.

• The competition is designed to search out, celebrate and reward creative new independent film making talent, with particular attention to the role music plays. The resulting event is an exciting, innovative fusion of independent music and film.
• After experiencing first hand the difficulty and conflict that some independent film makers face when trying to license music, we decided to address this particular issue while keeping the creative vision of the film maker as a priority.
• We decided to gather together a group of like minded independent and forward thinking music and media companies to focus of this fundamental area where music and film collide with the intention of creating mutually beneficial relationships between independent labels, their artists and film makers.
