Past Winners Have Continued Success

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

Naturally we’re always keen to hear what our previous ThinkSync Film Competition winners have been up to. So it was great to hear that David Procter and Peter King who won the 2006 competition with ‘72 Hours From Now’ have had a whole load of things going on.
They have established their production company ‘Agenda Collective’ off the back of their success on the festival circuit, with competitive screenings, awards and nominations across over 40 countries. They have recently moved into a new Brixton office incorporating a 4KHD edit suite, with things continuing to gain momentum. The boys have completed productions this year in Namibia and Latvia alongside commercials for clients including 3Mobile and Castrol.

The company has 3 films in this year’s 16th Raindance Film Festival:

‘Karosta,’ the company’s first feature doc is receiving its world premiere. A haunting portrait of a dystopic society, the film was recently described by Nick Broomfield as ‘beautifully photographed and observed with a wonderful humanity.’

‘Red Sands’, David’s short doc directorial debut is receiving its UK premiere and has been nominated for the Best UK Short Award. It explores the conflicting whirlpool of emotions that surround bullfighting.

Also receiving its UK premiere is short fiction ‘A Man of Letters,’ a recent co-production about a postman’s unrequited love, photographed by David and onlined by Peter.

David was recently talent spotted in BAFTA’s Academy Magazine and has this month been nominated for a Channel 4 4Talent Award for his work as a DoP.

Needless to say this fill us with pride and we look forward to hearing about further successes from David and Peter in the near future. Nice work.
